ABOUT IL BUCO VITA
Il Buco Vita is a collection of handmade Italian homewares and antiques from the team behind New York culinary institutions Il Buco and Il Buco Alimentari e Vineria. Drawing upon traditions of Mediterranean craftsmanship and sourced in central and southern Italy, the collection includes curated antique pieces as well as newly handcrafted tableware, glassware, kitchenware and decorative objects. Our rustic showroom and event space is located in a loft of a historic building on Bond Street, next door to the original Il Buco location.
ABOUT THE POSITION
Il Buco Vita is seeking a seasonal sales assistant to join our small, busy team. He/she will report to the showroom director and interact closely with the marketing, events and creative teams at Il Buco Corp, allowing the unique chance to contribute significantly to the strategy and growth of an emerging luxury brand. This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in interior design, merchandising, e-commerce, showroom management, food and hospitality, or Italian culture.

Visual Merchandising
Order Fulfilment
Inventory Management
Customer Service
E-commerce
APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS
Interns should motivated, curious, creative and eager to take charge of new projects when delegated.
Candidates must currently be enrolled in an undergraduate program based in New York City, as compensation is currently only available as school credit.
Must be available to work 4-5 days per week.
Strong communication skills are an absolute must, as interns should be able to speak eloquently about the details and intricacies of our product line to customers when necessary.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Docs and Dropbox are required.
Experience working with Shopify POS and conversational Italian are a plusses but arenot required.
